US co plans IT facility in Chandigarh

THE Rochester, New York headquartered Netsmartz India is on a high growth trajectory. The company, with an annual group turnover of Rs XX crore, has been in operation in Chandigarh with an Indian subsidiary Netsmartz India Infotech since 2001.
With over 270 employees and a Rs XX crore facility designed to come up in Mohali, Netsmartz India is all set to widen its customer base with a focus on the US market. With a roster of some Fortune 500 companies as clients, including Honda, Ford Motors, Mazda, BMW, Porsche and Kodak, Netsmartz India “hopes to enlarge our customer base and focus on core area of e-learning, software development and product development,” says the company’s founder director Manipal Singh.
Netsmartz India which achieved a turnover of Rs XX crore during 2005-06 is targetting a turnover of Rs XX crore in the current fiscal. It claims to be amongst the fastest growing IT companies in the region. Application development, e-learning, product development and search engine marketing are some of its core business units that function independently. “This way, we cover all bases of IT focused activity for our clients,” says Mr. Singh.
The company now intends to put up its own contemporary eight-storey glass and steel structure in Mohali in Sector 67 over 1.1 acre land with an investment of Rs XX crore.”By the end of 2008, we hope to see at least 1,000 Netsmartzians in the ranks,” said Mr. Singh . This facility which will boast of 110,000 sq ft of covered space is expected to be completed by October-November 2007.
